Saying No to Stock Images


As a tool to inspire creativity in campaign development, Pod 2 at BPG Bates created an internal campaign called Saying No to Stock Images.  

All employees had to sign a pledge, differing for creative and account management.  For Account Management, they all pledged to fight for time and budgets, write inspiring briefs, not use shortcuts, and to ‘sell’ creative to clients. For the Creatives, they all pledged to THINK IDEAS not layouts, think visually, not use image bank pictures as their first choice or in their original form and to fight for their ideas. To reinforce the campaign, signs, computer stickers, danglers and posters were hung around the office with the creative message.
