BPG Group Opens New HQ with Unique Exhibition of 140 Tweets from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Dubai: 17 September, 2015: The BPG Group, one of the longest established and most respected integrated communications companies in the MENA region, has celebrated the opening of its new office headquarters with a unique exhibition of 140 of the most significant tweets from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The “140 x 140” exhibition has been spread over a number of walls of the new BPG Group headquarters in Emaar Business Park and was officially opened by guest of honour H.E. Mona Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office at the inauguration of the new company office space.

Al Marri underlined that Dubai’s business-friendly policies and its progressive outlook have helped create an exceptional environment for innovation and creativity. She added that Dubai has developed into a global hub for the media and publishing industries due to its strategic vision and high-quality infrastructure.

Al Marri concluded “There is no doubt that creativity and innovation require a supportive environment to flourish. Such an environment is critical for innovators and entrepreneurs to realise their potential. Dubai has successfully achieved that”.

The official opening event was also attended by leading figures from a number of other communications agencies within the global WPP Group including Toby Hoare, Chairman, Geometry Global; Jeremy Baka, Chief Creative Catalyst Cohn & Wolfe; Laurence Mellman, Chief Operating Officer, International Specialist Communications, WPP; Filip Jabour, CEO Group M, MENA region; Nick Vale, Global Head of Planning, Maxus and BPG Group CEO Avi Bhojani.  It was conducted in the presence of the 150 plus BPG Group members of staff who recently moved to the new headquarters.

The new HQ will house the group’s mainstream marketing communications agency BPG bates; public relations division BPG Cohn & Wolfe; media asset management division, BPG Maxus; digital & social media division BPG Possible and healthcare practice BPG | Healthcare in addition to the BPG Group’s management and support functions.

Designed by creative talent from BPG Possible and BPG bates the “140 x 140” exhibition of tweets from His Highness was curated by BPG Maxus and the exhibition will become a permanent part of the new office environment.

Commenting on the exhibition and new headquarters location, BPG Group CEO Avi Bhojani said: “For nearly four decades the BPG Group has grown and prospered as a Dubai-based business and we are proud to have shared in and worked with the Government of Dubai on a number of major initiatives since our business began in 1980.

“The vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum has always been an inspiration to all of us in the group which is why we made the decision to create an exhibition that reflects the inspirational and contemporary approach His Highness has made in telling the Dubai story.

“We were also very proud that H.E. Mona Al Marri was able to be our guest of honour to officially inaugurate our new HQ and open the 140 x 140 exhibition.”

The inauguration took place on the eve of the BPG Group’s annual offsite event that this year will feature keynote addresses from WPP Worldwide Creative Director, John O’Keefe; Toby Hoare, a BPG Board member since 2000; Jeremy Baka from Cohn & Wolfe; Darin Brown, CEO of Possible for the EMEA Region; Filip Jabour of Group M and Nick Vale of Maxus.
